Essentials of the job

  • Drive positive working relationships with all wholesale and retail partners and deliver excellent levels of customer service at all times
  • Managing the order processes including inputting, confirming orders with clients, following up and resolving any issues
  • Ensure that all relevant information is kept updated to keep the customer informed and manage the relationship effectively
  • Liaise with Fulfilment Team to ensure the successful dispatch of orders
  • Work with external ordering systems to ensure successful dispatch of orders from 3rd party warehouses
  • Follow through with queries from wholesale partners positively and promptly
  • Make rational, consistent commercial decisions according to the customer’s situation
  • Work collaboratively with other departments across the wider Atom Group
  • Liaise with courier and freight agents to achieve timely and effective collection and delivery of company
  • To be able to identify and develop, effective and constructive solutions to challenges encountered within the department
  • Carry out stock reconciliations

Experience, skills and qualifications

  • Highly organised and efficient with excellent administration skills
  • Customer service experience
  • Some previous outbound sales experience would be highly desirable
  • Knowledge of HMRC regulation, Excise Duty and Underbond movements is preferred
  • Process driven – logical, accurate and detail oriented
  • Able to adjust to competing and shifting priorities
  • Good ICT skills including proficiency and experience with databases and management information systems (in particular, excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, and ideally also of the Google Suite of apps)

Essentials of the job

  • Develop content strategies that are forward thinking, memorable and engaging
  • Produce cross-channel content for brands across the Maverick Drinks portfolio, adhering to individual brand and tone of voice guidelines
  • Produce cross-channel content which adheres to the Maverick Drinks tone of voice, ethos and brand guidelines
  • Produce creative copy (both factual and persuasive) across all communications including:
  • Website/blog copy
  • Email marketing copy
  • Sales tools including product sell sheets and pitch documents
  • New line forms - producing engaging, thorough content for all skus within the Maverick Drinks portfolio
  • Awards entry submissions and awards announcements
  • Social media
  • Print/digital advertisements
  • Event literature
  • Marketing materials including brochures, flyers and postcards
  • Tasting notes for portfolio brands
  • Case studies
  • Keep all brand content up to date on all brand and partner sites
  • Proofread copy for both internal and external stakeholders
  • Support the PR team with trade and consumer copy
  • Work closely with our ambassadors to learn about our craft spirits portfolio
  • Attend events to increase your product knowledge to incorporate category trends into engaging campaigns
  • Assist with the development and briefing of visual assets including graphic design, photography and videography
  • Take ownership of copy briefs and execute to a high standard

Experience, skills and qualifications

Essential

  • Experience of content writing in drinks, ideally craft spirits
  • Good knowledge of the UK drinks industry and its structure
  • Able to successfully write for both B2B and B2C
  • Native English speaker with grade B or above in English ‘A’ level or equivalent international qualification
  • Ability to work fast and accurately to provide memorable, engaging content which stands out from the crowd
  • Proven experience in writing for a brand agency or brand owner
  • Ability to produce high quality content from challenging briefs
  • Solid understanding of the on-trade, including cocktail culture
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills, with the ability to manage your own day and a fluctuating workload
  • Knowledge of social media skills for business and other digital media channels

Desirable

  • WSET Level 2 Award in Spirits
  • Experience of using a content management system
  • Familiarity with Photoshop, InDesign, WordPress and Squarespace
  • Basic understanding of HTML

The Digital Marketing Manager will be responsible for both the strategy and execution of all digital marketing channels used across our portfolio to maximise ROI.

Essential Requirements

  • Responsible for the development of the digital marketing strategy across Maverick Drinks and its portfolio of brands
  • Management of all digital marketing channels including social media, PPC, affiliates, search, email marketing and content marketing
  • Work closely with the Content Manager to develop engaging and successful campaigns that build brand awareness and drive purchase
  • Define our email marketing strategy by using data and segmentation
  • Liaise with our brands and partners’ digital teams to align strategy and tactical plans
  • Optimise marketing spend for effective ROI
  • Produce monthly reports to summarise performance
  • Ensure online channels integrate with all brand campaigns
  • To utilise new and emerging technologies to keep our brands ahead of the curve
  • Analyse the digital performance of channels to adapt and change strategy in order to ensure effective budget control

Essential Requirements

  • Hands on experience defining, leading and executing digital marketing campaign to drive measurable results
  • Able to interpret data and adjust strategy accordingly
  • Knowledge of Google Analytics, Google Adwords, Bing, Sprout Social, Squarespace
  • Solid experience in a demanding multi-disciplined digital role where multi-tasking and prioritisation were key
  • Good working knowledge of data privacy (GDPR)

About the Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic Partner Manager with passion and enthusiasm for all things spirits, to drive distribution and growth of the Maverick Drinks brand portfolio. The successful applicant will act as a consultant and bring our Partners (‘customers’) on the craft spirits journey.

The ideal candidate will have on-trade sales experience, an extensive knowledge of the focus geographical areas and the ability to create a delicious and thought provoking cocktail.

Everyone we work with on our awesome craft spirits portfolio is a partner of ours. We would never push a product upon our Partners and we are consultative in our approach. Pubs, bars and restaurants only stock our brands because they love them. Therefore, our sales teams are encouraged to partner with their customers, hence the name Partner Manager.

Main purpose of the role

  • Taking full ownership of your given territory, you will employ a consultative selling approach, you will drive distribution through both existing and new business on-trade outlets.
  • Establish strong visibility for our brands within outlets. You will achieve this through jointly branded initiatives on cocktail and spirit menus, and bespoke promotional activities.
  • Get the trade “Thinking Craft” - Use your expertise on the craft spirits category to share category insights in order to facilitate product ranging.
  • Manage the full customer picture, planning and executing A&P investment brilliantly.
  • Utilise the internal team to deliver liquid, brand and category training to embed our brands and drive value.
  • Liaise with the Wholesale Partner Manager to ensure regional product availability and accessibility.
  • Work collaboratively with industry peers from wholesalers to soft drinks suppliers to build a strong network.

About you

  • Experience of having worked behind a bar is essential to being successful in this role. In this industry, you’ve got to walk the talk.
  • Curation of cocktail lists and skills in trade marketing would be hugely valuable.
  • Solid sales or account management and new business development within the spirits industry, specifically in the on-trade.
  • Experience of launching NPD or challenger brands into the on-trade.
  • Reasonably extensive knowledge of the geographical area within which you will be working in the on-trade, with demonstrable knowledge of movers and shakers in focus areas.
  • Strong product knowledge spanning all categories of spirits, preferably along with an understanding of the craft spirits category.
  • Must have the ability to manage A&P spend and carry out controlled measurement and evaluation of executed activities.
  • Excellent numeracy and language skills.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Good IT competency, an experience of Google Suite of apps along with ability to produce engaging presentations. However, a strong Microsoft Office history will be helpful in learning Google Suite.
  • Educated to ‘A’ level standard or equivalent.
  • Wine & Spirit Education Trust (WSET) Qualification at Higher Level would be desirable, as would degree level education.
  • This role is field-based and will require regional travel; a full UK driving licence is therefore required.

  • Through effective integration with the Maverick Drinks Wholesaler Partner Managers you will support the development and growth of our route to market partners through brand building and sales driving initiatives.

About You

  • You will be highly capable at managing the full commercial picture, with strong numeracy skills, you will have working knowledge of marketing investment effectiveness and the importance of return on investment; you will also have experience of coaching teams and individuals in these areas.
  • Experience of working in a coaching or capability capacity is imperative to being successful in this role.
  • Experience of developing and implementing business processes and sales strategy would be highly desirable.
  • You’ll have some experience of delivering exceptional NPD launches within the spirits category.
  • You’ll be confident in talking about category, trends and brands; ideally you’ll have a strong working knowledge of the spirits category in the UK. You’ll also have a good understanding of customer marketing.
  • You’ll have a passion for achievement; integrity and drive with a strong desire to make things happen.
  • You will possess a strong sense of purpose alongside the ability to think outside the box and challenge the status quo within channel.
